Manual Metal Arc Welding [MMA] – Beginners

This course will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competence to enable them to use Manual Metal Arc Welding equipment safely and correctly. Participants will be taught how to weld plate in positions 2F, 3F and 4F.On completion of this course participants will be given the opportunity to test for a Certificate in Manual Metal Arc for Fillet Weld on plate in positions 2F, 3F, 4F to EN 287 part 1 standard.

Applicants must be over 16 years of age.
Good hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity are required.

6 weeks part time

Tungsten Inert Gas Welding [TIG] Beginners

This course will provide participants with the skills knowledge and competence which will enable them to use T.I.G. Welding equipment safely and correctly. Participants will be taught how to weld 2F, 3F, 4F. On completion of this course participants will be given the opportunity to test for a Certificate in T.I.G. Fillet Welds in 2F,3F, 4F to EN287 part 1 standard.

Applications must be over 16 years of age.
Good hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity are required.

6 weeks part time.

Metal Inert Gas Welding [MIG] Beginners

This course will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competence to enable them to use M.I.G. Welding equipment safely and correctly. Participants will be taught how to weld plate 2F, 3F, 4F. On completion of this course participants will be given the opportunity to test for a Certificate in M.I.G. Welding to EN287 part 1 standard.

Applicants must be over 16 years of age.
Good hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity are required.
