Manual Metal Arc Welding [MMA] – Intermediate

This course will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competence to enable them to use Manual Metal Arc Welding equipment safely and correctly. Participants will be taught how to weld plates in positions 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G.

On completion of this course participants will be given the opportunity to test for a Certificate in Manual Metal Arc for Butt Welds on plates in positions 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, to EN 287 part 1 standard.

Applicants must be over 16 years of age.
Have achieved a Certificate in Manual Metal Arc for Fillet Weld.
Good hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity are required.

6 weeks part time

Tungsten Inert Gas Welding [TIG] Intermediate

This course will provide participants with the skills knowledge and competence to enable them to use T.I.G. Welding equipment safely and correctly. Participants will be taught how to weld plates in positions 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G.

On completion of this course participants will be given the opportunity to test for a Certificate in Tungsten Inert Gas Welding for Butt Welds on plates in positions 1G, 2G, 3G and 4 G to EN287 part 1 standard.

Applications must be over 16 years of age.
Have achieved a Certificate in Tungsten Inert Gas Welding for Fillet Weld.
Good hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity are required.

6 weeks part time

Metal Inert Gas Welding [MIG] Intermediate

This course will provide participants with the skills knowledge and competence to enable them to use M.I.G. Welding equipment safely and correctly. Participants will be taught how to weld plates in positions 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G.

On completion of this course participants will be given the opportunity to test for a Certificate in Metal Inert Gas Welding for Butt Welds on plates in positions 1G, 2G, 3G and 4 G to EN287 part 1 standard.

Applications must be over 16 years of age.
Have achieved a Certificate in Metal Inert Gas Welding for Fillet Weld.
Good hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity are required.
